NEVIS private jet charter

Nevis is the other half of St Kitts and Nevis, a federation of islands in the Caribbean Sea. Just like St Kitts, Nevis is a fabulous touristic destination, which will give you that picture perfect tropical experience you’re dreaming about throughout the year, while planning for a trip: sandy white beaches, beautiful, deep blue waters, great sun and exquisite, exotic cuisine. In the middle of the island, there’s a potentially active volcano, Nevis Peak, while around it, at lower altitudes, there are volcanic hot springs. If you think you’re up for the challenge, you can hike all the way to the top of the volcano. Also, the sand on the beaches is mixed in some areas, with black and coral sand mixed with white sand.

The island relies mainly on tourism, of course, so you can find many hotels and inns throughout the year to host you. There’s one five star hotel and several rehabilitated inns, from the times when the island was a sugar making colony, mainly. You can even find small apartments and villas to rent short term, many of them pretty secluded from the agitated areas, so you can truly relax during the holidays. The climate of Nevis is tropical, with very variations throughout the year. The climate is tempered by oceanic currents passing by the islands, so the dry season, from November to April and the hot, rainy one from May to October, are both very tolerable for the average tourist, just looking for some good sun and hot water. Besides the great natural landscape and multiple possibilities of scuba diving, hiking, you can enjoy the very particular and spectacular local culture and cuisine.

Every year, the 100 square mile island is home of the Culturama festival, an island wide event held in the first weekend in August. The festival traditionally celebrates the Independence Day of the island, and is filled with folk and dance acts, all passed from generation to generation. Additionally, there are many beauty contests and culinary treats, as well as contests, parades and games that everyone can join. The culture of Nevis is characterized by a mixture of European, African and East Indian elements, as the island was a meeting point for all of these cultures starting with the 17th century. The Nevis people have its own variations of British traditions, like meeting for tea or organizing Christmas sports. These sports are rather comical and ironical and comprise of musical moments interpreted by groups of men singing at string instruments.

The source of inspiration for them is local gossip and values. The architecture of Nevis suffered some heavy modifications over the centuries, partly because of the earthquakes and typhoons that hit the island throughout history. Most the current houses and buildings are newer, with a few noticeable exceptions, built in the 17th and 18th century, mainly by British land owners and tradesmen. If you’re interested in the way the Nevis people lived, you can visit Peak Heaven, a resort operated exclusively by local Nevisians, and that shows how people lived on the island in the first half of the 20th century. Getting to Nevis is quite straightforward, as there’s an airport on the island called Newcastle Airport. Nevis private jet charter trips are very popular, especially during the summer, but the airport operates airline flights as well throughout the year.
